On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:
other writers as well as anyone who is interested in books, writing, literature, etc. I review books and make a living from writing but use Gather for chat as well as serious writing. Sometimes I'll just ask a question or experiment with different types of articles. If you consider yourself like-minded -or are goofy, eccentric, open to creativity and experimentation - we'll probably get along. I do take my writing seriously, although the varying quality of the material I put out there may not seem to reflect that. Gather is a place for me to be playful as well as serious.
A friend of mine was just telling me yesterday that mushrooms are up in West Virginia. I'm so jealous that you're out mushroom hunting right now! Eat some for me? I'll tell my mom about the Postum, although man (!!!!), stirring every 20 minutes for 5 hours!!!! That hardly seems worth it to me. My husband has been about to die since Postum was taken off the market. He was a big coffee drinker and then started drinking Postum. It was a habit for him. Hard to break. He's mostly just been drinking herbal tea. He tried that Pero stuff (similar to Postum) but wasn't impressed. Anyhoo, I'm totally rambling now. As usual! Eat mushrooms for me!
Hey Jane! That is so cool that you fixed the dandelions! I'm so excited about it you have no idea. Most people just comment on that stuff and then don't actually follow up on it or actually fix it. I'm also glad you guys liked them. The kids and I fix them every now and then. Something fun and interesting for us to do. Anyway, I just wanted to comment back and basically say "cool!" No J - I am not crazy, I HAVE TOTALLY LOST IT. I read your ping and was going to ping you back about that snake and instead of hitting 'ping' you,- stupid me hit 'delete ping'! I am so sorry, I have never done that before, I am always so careful about that 'delete' button!! Anyway, sure glad we are friends now and about that snake...........ALL snakes are deadly to me because if I see one near me I know w/o a doubt that I will drop dead. Couple summers ago I found one curled up on my steps up to my deck, I had a panic attack! Yes, I love gardening and yardwork, always destresses me and relaxes me! When I worked I would dream of coming home, changing my clothes and hitting my yard, - would be there in the summertime until it was so dark I would have the flood lights on and dig holes with a flashlight!! I just love it!!!!!! Again, I am so sorry I deleted your ping, I certainly did not mean to!!!
